Is L’Ostéopathe really free, and for how long?
Yes, with no end date or credit card: 1 practitioner, 2 locations, unlimited patients, 10 consultations a month and invoices. You can also try Solo features for 14 days. Theo, without generative AI, requires a Solo or Practice subscription; the trial does not include it.
How much does L’Ostéopathe cost?
€0 for the Free plan, forever. Solo costs €29 a month incl. VAT for one practitioner, with unlimited consultations. Practice costs €59 a month incl. VAT with 3 practitioners included, then €15 per extra practitioner. Yearly billing charges 10 months out of 12. Details, with the cost over a year, are on the pricing page.
Which software should an osteopath choose?
One that covers your whole day without typing things twice: records and anamnesis suited to osteopathy, a body chart, agenda, compliant numbered invoices and a full export of your data. Also check where health data is hosted and what the paid plan costs once you outgrow the free offer. Our comparison of osteopath software lists public prices, with their source and date.
What does Theo, the assistant, do? Does it diagnose?
Theo, without generative AI, requires a Solo or Practice subscription; the 14-day trial does not include it. It prepares drafts and finds information you are allowed to access. You review and approve; it makes no diagnosis or treatment recommendation. Solo includes 200 requests a month, Practice 600 shared requests.
Can I import my data from my previous software?
Yes, for the patient list: L’Ostéopathe imports it from a CSV or Excel file (a spreadsheet, a Doctolib export or an Osteo2ls export). Columns are matched, duplicates and every row are checked before confirmation, and an import can be undone as long as the new records have not been used. Consultations and invoices from the previous software are not imported: they stay in the previous tool.
Are the invoices compliant?
They include the mentions expected on a French note d’honoraires: your identity and title, the patient, date, treatment, amount, payment method and the VAT exemption mention. Your RPPS and SIRET are added: no law requires the RPPS on the note, but health insurers ask for it. Numbering is continuous and gap-free. An issued invoice can no longer be edited: corrections go through a credit note. Still, have your accountant check your mentions.
Does French e-invoicing apply to osteopathy invoices?
Not to your care: VAT-exempt care is outside the scope of the reform, with no e-invoice or e-reporting, according to impots.gouv.fr. However, since 1 September 2026, every business, private practices included, must be able to receive e-invoices from its suppliers through an approved platform.
Does L’Ostéopathe work on Mac, PC, iPad and tablets?
Yes. L’Ostéopathe runs in the browser, on a Mac, PC, iPad, tablet or phone, and can be installed as an app if you wish. There is nothing to install on a server, but an internet connection is required. Everyday screens are designed to be used standing, between two patients.
Can I get my data back if I leave?
Yes, at any time and free of charge, whatever your plan: a ZIP archive with your patients, consultations, appointments, invoices and documents, in CSV and JSON. This export is never blocked.
Where is my data hosted?
Today, the L’Ostéopathe website and application are hosted by Hetzner Online GmbH, in the European Union, as stated in our legal notice. This hosting is not HDS-certified: as long as that is the case, do not enter any real patient data in it. Real patient data may only be hosted by an HDS-certified host in the European Union. Details are on our Security page.
Is there a commitment?
No. The Free plan commits you to nothing. Monthly plans can be cancelled at any time, effective at the end of the current month. The yearly plan is paid for 12 months and renews unless cancelled; you can cancel it at any time at no cost, effective at the end of the period. Your data stays yours.
